![]() A VERY SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING At our upcoming congregational meeting we are going to do something new. After an opening time of worship, and before the business of the evening, we will be prayer walking the church. Everyone in attendance will be separated into groups of six, and the groups will travel throughout the church to pray for the church’s ministries and ministry volunteers. Of course, we don’t need to be in a particular location for our prayers to be heard, but, by stationing ourselves where the ministries is actually performed, we will gain a sense of immediacy about how God is working in and through Bethel Church. We will “see” the numerous and diverse ministries that God has led us into and will become acquainted with the Bethel members who serve in them. It seems right—doesn’t it—that we would bathe our ministry efforts in this kind of prayer? We should always plan, and do, our work in the church conscious reliance on the Lord. Wonderful things happen when we do. I look forward to the discussion that will take place following our prayer walking. Maybe God has some surprises in store for us! We have a lot of exciting things to discuss after we pray that evening:
The action starts at 7:30 pm, on Wednesday November 23. The prayer portion of our evening is being planned by our Church Renewal Lab Team. I look forward to seeing you there. —Pastor Tom Comments are closed.
