I want to explore the Christian Faith
Read what Jesus said from the pages of the Bible
The first four books of the New Testament are called “The Gospels”. Each writer—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—describes the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each author adds his own particular nuances in telling the Jesus story.
By reading one or more of these Gospels thoughtfully you will learn about what Jesus did and said. As you read, ask yourself: Do I believe Jesus when he says He came to die for my sins? Do I believe He really rose again? Does His promise to give me power to live a new quality of life ring true with me? Could I entrust my entire life to Him?
Don’t have a Bible? No problem. Bethel Church would like to give you one for free. Just visit the welcome desk in the church foyer some Sunday or contact our Welcome Coordinator Wendy Werkman at wendy@discoverbethel.com; 780-476-3762, ext. 213.

Take the Alpha Course
Alpha is a program that offers you an opportunity to explore with others the Bible’s answers to life’s big questions. The 11 weekly sessions take place in the intimacy of a small group setting, usually meeting in someone’s home. Each evening includes friendly conversation over a meal, followed by a video and a discussion, and takes about 2 ½ hours. There is an optional “weekend away” (Friday evening and Saturday) that features an in-depth study of the Holy Spirit. (This topic gets special attention because Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit so that people could know his presence in their daily lives and experience power to live in a new way.)
