  • Small Groups | Bethel Community CRC

Small Groups The journey is better when we do life together. At Bethel Church, we believe that life is meant to be lived together. We are a community committed to growing together in our faith in Jesus Christ, to supporting one another in special times of need, and to welcoming others who want to embark on the journey of faith. In small groups we encourage one another, ask questions, gain insight from each other, and we share joys and sorrow. In short, small groups is our way of doing life together. For meetings, groups usually gather in one another's homes on a rotating basis. On a typical evening they will enjoy friendly conversation over refreshments, have a Bible study, share needs and concerns, and pray for one another. Groups have even been known to go on vacation together! The possibilities are as unlimited as the group's imagination. A big goal of small groups is simply to be there for one another through the good times and the hard times. That can include anything from lending a listening ear, to bringing meals or providing rides in a time of need. Sign up here for a small group! *For details and questions about Bethel Small Groups, please contact Pastor Wendy Email: wendy@discoverbethel.com

  • Flourish | Bethel Community CRC

Flourish Life By The Spirit < Back Join us in a 10-week journey of studying how the Spirit nourishes within us a life of fruitfulness that goes beyond surviving and coping. It actually can and does, by God’s grace, look like flourishing. Along this journey, we invite you to go deeper in your walk with Jesus through some additional resources. Each week we will look at another dimension for the fruit of the Spirit, following the order and pattern described in Galatians 5:13-26. For Personal Devotion and Small Groups: Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit - Growing In Christlikeness - By Christopher Wright Good and Beautiful and Kind: Becoming Whole in a Fractured World by Rich Villodas For Families at Home On Sundays, Bethel Kids will be using curriculum based on the book "Fruit Full: 100 Family Experiences for Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit" What do your kids know about the fruit of the Spirit? Maybe they can rattle off the list: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. But do they really understand what the fruits look like in daily life? John Stott prayed every day the following prayer. Consider praying this prayer as you seek God’s abundant life for you in the season to come. “Heavenly Father, I pray that I may live this day in your presence and please you more and more. Lord Jesus, I pray that this day I may take up my cross and follow you. Holy Spirit, I pray that this day you will fill me with yourself and cause your fruit to ripen in my life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Holy, blessed and glorious Trinity, three persons in one God, have mercy upon me.

What to Expect Sunday Worship: Our church is for everyone and we invite you to join us. We gather in person and online for a weekly Sunday service at 10 am to encounter the living God as a community – a time to restore our faith, to renew our hope, and to rekindle our love for God and others. Join us in worship for the whole family, and please come as you are! Every week expect to hear a Gospel-centered message, considering how we can deepen our relationship with Christ and better live out his love in our daily lives. If you missed a Sunday you can always listen to previous sermons, just head to our podcasts page. Our Mission & Vision What We Believe Worship Online With Us For the Kids: We pride ourselves on providing a fun and safe environment for our kids where they can learn about how much Jesus loves them and that his story can become their own. On Sunday mornings, please check in the back with your kids when you arrive. We invite families to sit together in worship for the first half of the service, which starts at 10 am. Halfway through the service, we'll invite parents to bring your kids downstairs for a focused time of children's ministry in a big group. *For any questions about what to expect before you visit, please email our Children’s Ministries Director, Selikke, at kids@discoverbethel.com , or call us at church during the week. Nursery: Our nursery is available for your infants and toddlers! After you check your kid(s) in at the registration desk, you can bring your kid(s) to the nursery downstairs to be with our volunteer team. Wiggle Room: Our Wiggle room is open to parents with small children who need to get "their wiggles out" while being close to their parents and the service can be listened to from that room. This room is located on the left side of the sanctuary next to our kitchen. Prayer and Connection: Two of our greatest desires as a church are (1) to be a church that prays and (2) to be a community that cares. We have people available throughout the service available to pray with you. You can also send requests for prayer online through our confidential prayer email . We also see worship as a time for connection and the building of relationships in the community. Stay as long as you can with us as worship. We will have coffee and refreshments set out for you.
