This Week At Bethel April 24, 2026 This Sunday Church Family News Announcements Community News Calendar Bulletin Archive This Sunday This Sunday, we continue our sermon series, Alive: Practicing the Resurrection , exploring Jesus’ appearances after rising from the dead. Through these encounters, Jesus invites us, his followers, to become fully alive through his resurrection life. Not every follower was in the room when Jesus first came and stood among them. We connect honestly with the doubt Thomas shared about the resurrection, as have many disciples through the ages, wrestling with the impossibility of the good news. Yet Jesus shows Thomas and us incredible grace for how we can respond to our doubts and move towards Christ in faith. The message this Sunday will focus on John 20:24-29, “When There Is Doubt.” For past messages, subscribe and follow our podcast: discoverbethel.com/podcasts Our Sunday Offerings: BETHEL MINISTRIES AND MISSION : The ministries and programs of Bethel MINISTRY SHARES: This cooperative venture of all CRC churches in Canada sends missionaries around the world, starts new churches, resources congregations, trains pastors and leaders, and uses media to spread the gospel. 21 days of prayer, prayer, intercession, communion, community, hunger, thirst 21 Days of Prayer Starting January 1, 2025 21 Days of Prayer | S tarting January 1, 2025 We build habits through purpose action, committed repetition, and community support. For many of us, building a habit takes approximately 21 days. At the beginning of this year, we invite you to join us in building and refreshing our habits and rhythms of prayer. Our challenge: pray every day . Choose times every day and give this space to God. Commit to pray with others - whether through a prayer group or with friendships around you. We also want to encourage our church to seek different ways to pray out - learn something new - whether this is intercessory prayer, prayer with fasting, contemplative prayer, inner healing prayer, and more. *Included with committed prayer, we invite everyone to explore and practice the spiritual discipline of fasting. We realize this may be a new practice for some. In essence, fasting is abstaining from food or drink for set aside amount of time in order to seek to be closer with God. This could look like abstaining from abstaining from a breakfast and/or lunch, and then breaking the fast for dinner. Or, fasting the full 24 hours, so long as you're able to do this physically.
