This Week At Bethel June 14, 2026 This Sunday Church Family News Announcements Community News Calendar Bulletin Archive This Sunday This Sunday, we continue our sermon series through 1 Corinthians, The Mind of Christ. In a culture obsessed with status, intellect, and personal preference, Paul calls the church back to a radically different way of thinking—the mind of Christ. In Christ, God leads us towards an upside-down calling, where we find weakness in strength and wisdom in what the world considers foolish. The message this Sunday will focus on 1 Corinthians 1:26-31, “The Upside-Down Calling.” For past messages, subscribe and follow our podcast: discoverbethel.com/podcasts Our Sunday Offerings: BETHEL MINISTRIES AND MISSION : The ministries and programs of Bethel REHOBOTH: REHOBOTH offers services to developmentally disabled adults and children. Rehoboth demonstrate God's love and grace to people who have been denied full participation in the mainstream of life because of their mental or physical disabilities by providing residential, vocational, supported independent living and respite care for clients and their families. Announcements: BETHEL STAFF UPDATE: Over the past 4 years, we have been blessed to have Hilda Buisman work with us as our administrator. This position of leadership is incredibly valuable for supporting our administrative staff and coordinating responsibilities among numerous committees at Bethel. Hilda shared with us earlier this year that she would like to step down from the role. After some consideration, we began discerning with Tara Kilkenny, one of our Administrative Assistants, if Tara would be willing to assume the role of Administrator following Hilda’s transition. We’re excited to announce that Tara Kilkenny has accepted this role. Over the next few months, Hilda, Tara and other committees will work together to assist in the transition. This week, we share about this transition as we would like to express our appreciation of Hilda for her service and leadership during the Sunday service on June 7. Please also welcome Tara to this new role, as she adjusts to a new set of responsibilities on our staff team. 21 days of prayer, prayer, intercession, communion, community, hunger, thirst 21 Days of Prayer Starting January 1, 2025 21 Days of Prayer | S tarting January 1, 2025 We build habits through purpose action, committed repetition, and community support. For many of us, building a habit takes approximately 21 days. At the beginning of this year, we invite you to join us in building and refreshing our habits and rhythms of prayer. Our challenge: pray every day . Choose times every day and give this space to God. Commit to pray with others - whether through a prayer group or with friendships around you. We also want to encourage our church to seek different ways to pray out - learn something new - whether this is intercessory prayer, prayer with fasting, contemplative prayer, inner healing prayer, and more. *Included with committed prayer, we invite everyone to explore and practice the spiritual discipline of fasting. We realize this may be a new practice for some. In essence, fasting is abstaining from food or drink for set aside amount of time in order to seek to be closer with God. This could look like abstaining from abstaining from a breakfast and/or lunch, and then breaking the fast for dinner. Or, fasting the full 24 hours, so long as you're able to do this physically.
