Matthew 3:16, 28:19; John 1:1-3, 1:14; Acts 5:3-4; 2 Corinthians 13:14 We believe that humans bear the image of God; yet, they are corrupted by sin—by both the sinful nature with which they are born and the ongoing sins they commit. Ephesians 2:1-3, 4:22; Titus 3:3 We believe that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:22 We believe that He died an atoning death on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.
