21 days of prayer, prayer, intercession, communion, community, hunger, thirst 21 Days of Prayer Starting January 1, 2025 21 Days of Prayer | S tarting January 1, 2025 We build habits through purpose action, committed repetition, and community support. For many of us, building a habit takes approximately 21 days. At the beginning of this year, we invite you to join us in building and refreshing our habits and rhythms of prayer. Our challenge: pray every day . Choose times every day and give this space to God. Commit to pray with others - whether through a prayer group or with friendships around you. We also want to encourage our church to seek different ways to pray out - learn something new - whether this is intercessory prayer, prayer with fasting, contemplative prayer, inner healing prayer, and more. *Included with committed prayer, we invite everyone to explore and practice the spiritual discipline of fasting. We realize this may be a new practice for some. In essence, fasting is abstaining from food or drink for set aside amount of time in order to seek to be closer with God. This could look like abstaining from abstaining from a breakfast and/or lunch, and then breaking the fast for dinner. Or, fasting the full 24 hours, so long as you're able to do this physically. In October, John Lendein was able to add 350 kits for the Bettesu school, and 50 special kits for any woman that delivers a baby in the clinic to another shipment that was being sent to Bettesu Liberia. All of that was possible because of your great contribution. Our next work bee is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, from 9 am to 12 noon. Please join us for this worthwhile cause. We could use workers with sewing machines and sergers, but we also need help from non-sewers for a variety of tasks: ironing, cutting, adding snaps, measuring and tracing, folding, etc. This request for help is not just for ladies, as we also have men that come out to help. Some of the tasks require a level of strength that unfortunately not all ladies have. Please let me know if you plan on coming so we can ensure we bring enough work for everyone: lindesrosiers@gmail.com Location: LDS Church, 9010 - 85 Street NW Edmonton.
